This is a true real life horror story recently posted on the
internet. This vulnerable man has been taken in by a cheating Filipino
gold digger, much younger than himself. They have met online (probably a
dating site where she has posted a fake profile) and he has fallen
head over heels in love. He has helped her move to the USA and married
her and has slowly alienated himself from his loving family, she has
persuaded him to send her sister money for a house and now she now wants
a divorce and is fabricating a story of violent behaviour to be granted
all of his money and assets in the settlement.
This is a
familiar story to FidelityCheckOnline investigators who have come across
situations like this in the past and will do again in the future.
If
this woman wins her divorce case and the judge believes her she will
take assets from this man and his family that have been built up over a
lifetime of hard work, it will mean she never has to work again. The
outcome of this ill advised relationship was doomed from the very start
and the sad outcome, obvious and predictable, it probably could have
been avoided if his family had acted decisively from the beginning.
It
sounds like, to their credit, this family is sticking together through
this difficult and testing time but this is not always the case.
Situations like this can tear families apart and cause irreparable
damage to relationships. The decisions this stupid and naive man has
made could result in him loosing his assets, income, savings, family and
those he really loves could lose their inheritance.
All
this problems could have been avoided with a little investigation and
forethought. More and more frequently concerned families are turning to
companies like FidelityCheckOnline for help. They are persuading their
fathers, mothers or loved ones to registerer the people they met in
person, on the internet, or dating sites and that they know little
about. The information they are discovering about their behaviour and
other boyfriends or girlfriends are persuading people that they should
either not be in the relationship in the first place or should protect
themselves and their families against emotional and financial fraud by
gold diggers only out for money.
